Quarterly Network Meeting: Instructional Materials

We are excited to welcome leading educators to share free, high-quality instructional materials designed for immigrant and multilingual students. You'll walk away with ready-to-use classroom resources and fresh approaches to instruction.

Joel Troge is the Director of Long-term ELLs, Newcomers, and Students with Interrupted Formal Education (SIFE) at NYC Public Schools. He will be presenting the TRANSLATE Foundation Unit, a phonics and decoding lesson sequence for adolescent multilingual learners, grounded in the science of reading.

Jessica Lander is a Senior Policy Fellow at ReImagining Migration, a teacher at Lowell Public High School in Massachusetts, and the best-selling author of Making Americans. She will be presenting the Making Americans US History Lesson Series, which explores pivotal moments, landmark cases, and philosophies that have shaped immigrant education in America.
